Market Analysis eXpert — brilliant with data, consistently wrong about people

The only after-school program where students run a live competing business every single week — and discover that winning customers requires more than a great product.

THE PROBLEM

Most students learn entrepreneurship in theory. P.I.T.C.H. makes them do it in practice.

Building something is the beginning. Selling it is the real test. P.I.T.C.H. puts student businesses into a live classroom market from Lesson 1 — competing for real customers, responding to real competition, and discovering that pricing, differentiation, and the quality of a pitch matter just as much as the product itself.

MAX — the program's robot business analyst — processes market data, makes predictions, and is consistently surprised by what students actually do. Because MAX understands numbers but not people. And the most important things about business are about people.

6

Business categories to choose from at Lesson 1. One per team. Yours for the whole program.

Teams choose one of six business categories at Lesson 1 — Gaming & Digital Entertainment, Collectibles & Trading, Food & Drink, Fashion & Accessories, DIY Crafts, or STEM Inventions. They name their business, define their brand, and keep that identity for the whole program. What changes every week is the challenge they face and the strategy they use to win customers.

70%

Of the time, students outperform MAX's market predictions. The other 30% keeps things interesting.

1

Live market round every lesson. Real Customer Cards. Real Kidz Cash. Real competition.

HOW IT WORKS

One business. Eight weeks.

One live market.

Every lesson, students open their Market Dispatch — updates on four fictional businesses navigating the same market challenges students will face that week. MAX reacts. Students react to MAX. Then the concept Drill teaches them the tool they need. Then the market opens.

📰

The Market Dispatch

Every lesson opens with updates on four fictional businesses — ZAPP, ROOTS, GLITCH and STRIDE. One scenario, one question: what would you have done differently? Students also pick one business to back for the whole season.

🤖

MAX's Hot Take

MAX analyses the market data and makes a confident prediction about who will win the week's Customer Cards. MAX is right about 30% of the time. Students keep a running tally. The tally is revealed at the Finale.

🛒

The Market Round

Customer Cards circulate. Students visit stalls, hear pitches, and spend their cards based on which business best meets their stated need. The visit rule and Loyalty Token system ensure genuine competition — not just friends buying from friends.

🏦

The Bank Exchange

Teams count their Customer Cards and exchange them for Kidz Cash at the Bank. Revenue accumulates across the whole program. The team with the highest total at the Finale wins — not just the best single week.

THE JOURNEY

Seven concepts. Seven market rounds. One escalating competition.

Lesson 1: Open for Business

Teams establish their business identity and compete in their first market round with minimal preparation. The chaos of a first trading day teaches more than any slide could.

Lesson 2: Know Your Customer

First round results reveal who was actually buying — and why. Students define their target customer before round two and discover that selling to everyone means selling to no one.

Lesson 3: Price It Right

Cost structures, margins and the brutal mathematics of pricing. MAX's strongest lesson. Students who ignored their costs feel it directly in their revenue.

Lesson 4: Stand Out or Blend In

Two businesses in similar categories must differentiate or split their customers. The Drill forces every team to articulate what makes them genuinely different from every competitor in the room.

Lesson 5: The Pitch

No pricing change, no product change. Pure pitch quality determines the outcome. MAX predicts the winner based on data. Students who pitch with energy and connection beat the prediction convincingly.

Lessons 6–7: Resilience & Final Push

An external market disruption hits every business. Teams adapt or suffer. Then Lesson 7 — the Season Investment reveal, the final regular market round, and everything on the line before the Finale.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

What your student walks away able to do.

Read a market

Your student will understand that markets are made of people with needs — and that understanding those needs is more valuable than having the best product.

Price with confidence

After calculating cost structures and watching pricing decisions play out in a live market, your student will never set a price without thinking about margin.

Differentiate under pressure

Your student will be able to articulate clearly why their business is different from every competitor — and why that difference matters to a specific customer.

Pitch with confidence

Eight weeks of market rounds means eight weeks of pitching under real competitive pressure. Your student will leave able to sell an idea in 60 seconds to a sceptical audience.

Adapt when the market turns

The resilience lesson is built into the program structure — students face a market disruption they didn't see coming and have to respond. That experience stays with them.

Think strategically, not just creatively

P.I.T.C.H. teaches students that running a business requires thinking several moves ahead — not just having a good idea and hoping customers find it.

ANNUAL FLAGSHIP EVENT · SINGAPORE

The
Financial Games

Once a year, Kidz Economy partner schools come together for a two-day financial literacy competition. Students who have completed L.I.F.E. Agency compete across seven medal events — applying everything they've learned in a format that feels like a championship, not a classroom.

Every event awards individual medals to the top three teams. A running medal tally determines the overall school champion — who takes home the Financial Games Travelling Trophy.
